Mark Kelly Would Propel Harris’ Presidential Bid
None of the other names in the mix for VP bring as many attributes as the astronaut-turned-Arizona senator.

Vice President Kamala Harris has less than two weeks to select a running mate — and probably the only good thing about that is that she has plenty of Democrats to choose from.
Governor Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania. Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky. Governor Roy Cooper of North Carolina. Governor Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan. Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. These are all fine choices. But none would be able to immediately ratchet up the dread in Trumpworld — and potentially flip the script on the electoral map for years to come — quite like Arizona Senator Mark Kelly.
