TNT’s Bid for NBA Media Rights Never Stood a Chance
The league wasted little time turning down an $1.8 billion offer because it came attached to an outdated cable package.

On Wednesday, the National Basketball Association officially downgraded its cable plan with its new 11-year, $76 billion media rights agreements. Starting in 2025, NBA fans will get their hoops from Amazon.com Inc’s Prime Video, Comcast Corp.’s NBC and Peacock and Disney’s ABC and ESPN.
Warner Bros Discovery Inc.’s TNT, which has broadcast the league since 1989, gets nothing.
