China Had Better Start Buying Some Trump Insurance

The former US president’s return to power could tank relations. Beijing would be wise to make nice with other players facing similar worries.

Donald Trump’s triumph over Nikki Haley is reverberating well beyond the snowy confines of New Hampshire. With the Republican nomination within his grasp, US allies and rivals alike are racing to prepare for the possibility of a second, even more unhinged Trump administration.

China for one has few, mostly bad options. The best may be to learn from Trump’s opponent, US President Joe Biden.
