UK Small- and Mid-Cap Companies Are Irrationally Unloved

Imagine if at some point in late March 2020, in the middle of the Covid-19 lockdown madness and market collapse, someone had pointed to undeniable data showing the market was cheap and rung a bell for you telling you to buy. Wouldn’t that have been fabulous?
Imagine the same in 2009, or perhaps in 2001 after the Dotcom crash. The market isn’t a particularly kind place. It doesn’t offer many standout opportunities to make real money with little downside risk — and when it does, not many people recognize them. There is no bell.
