TikTok Is Running Out of Time in the US
States and the Senate ponder banning the Chinese social media site on government devices.

TikTok is starting to look cornered. At least 15 states have banned the app, there’s bipartisan support in the Senate to have it excised from the US, and lawsuits have been filed alleging child harm. It’s hard to imagine one of the planet’s biggest social media services surviving much longer in the world’s largest economy.
While prohibitions against the Chinese-owned platform date back two years, momentum became overwhelming in the last 10 days, with eight more states jumping on the bandwagon and the Senate passing a bill that would still require the House to give its nod.
