With less than a week to go before Election Day, a lot of Democrats in the Buckeye State are asking a question that may haunt their party well after Nov. 8: Why did the national party say no to Ohio?

They are referring to the race for US Senate, where the Democratic leadership has declined to spend much money even though it couldn’t have asked for a better candidate than Representative Tim Ryan.
