About nine months after the Singapore government committed to living with Covid-19, travel is opening up, restrictions on social distancing are being lifted and life is starting to look more like it does in the rest of the world. In a major milestone, one of the busiest land border crossings — between Singapore and Malaysia — reopened on April 1.
Bloomberg Opinion editor Rachel Rosenthal is joined by columnist Daniel Moss, who was on the frontlines of the border reopening in Johor, to discuss the ease of restrictions and what it means for other parts of Asia. This is an edited transcript of their conversation.
