If you’re anything like me, you have too much useless stuff laying around: old receipts, old bills, terrible writing that should never see the light of day but will probably be exposed and disgrace my family after my death, ticket stubs. Stuff like that. Reality television tells us disposing of this detritus is good (see: Marie Kondo) and keeping it is bad (see: the “Hoarders” extended cinematic universe). But I swear there’s a happy middle ground, where you don’t just willy-nilly throw things away that could be useful.
