President Joe Biden’s approval rating continues to slide. He’s currently at 42.8% approval (and 51.3% disapproval) according to the FiveThirtyEight polling average. If you squint hard enough, you can make a case that his approval has flattened out — he was at 43.0% on Oct. 30 — but it’s just as likely that he’s continuing on a steady downward path. Remember: Polling averages are much more reliable than single polls, but they are still subject to distortions from individual polls that come in higher or lower than reality for essentially random reasons.
