Qualcomm's China Snag Is Just a Start
Beijing has the means and the motive to take tit-for-tat action.

China is pushing for more concessions from Qualcomm Inc. before approving its bid for Dutch rival NXP Semiconductors NV, concerned the combination will result in local companies paying higher licensing fees.
The objection comes days after President Donald Trump squelched a takeover of the U.S. chipmaker by Singapore-based Broadcom Ltd. and imposed tariffs on steel and aluminum imports.
