No news is usually good news when you're a restaurant trying to overcome a food-safety crisis. But Chipotle may be going a little too far.

The burrito chain has recently taken a less-is-more approach to updating investors about sales in the wake of last year's norovirus and E. coli outbreaks, and its share performance is starting to suffer as a result.
