May 29 (Bloomberg) -- In the days after the Sept. 11attacks, the Bush administration made clear to the world that ithad the Islamic Republic of Iran in its sights.
Condoleezza Rice, who was then President George W. Bush’snational security adviser, issued this warning in January 2002:“Iran’s direct support of regional and global terrorism and itsaggressive efforts to acquire weapons of mass destruction belieany good intentions it displayed in the days after the world’sworst terrorist attacks in history.”
