April 11 (Bloomberg) -- The Frozen Four, college icehockey’s equivalent of basketball’s Final Four, begins Thursdaynight in Pittsburgh. This year’s surviving quartet features noneof the traditional college hockey powerhouses: no University ofMinnesota, no Boston University, no Boston College.
It does, however, feature college hockey’s version ofFlorida Gulf Coast University -- Quinnipiac University. LikeFGCU, Quinnipiac has recognized that nothing can raise aschool’s profile like a successful sports team.
