Feb. 14 (Bloomberg) -- What problems can the U.S. solvewith renewable energy?

Four years ago, both presidential candidates acknowledgedthe threat of climate change and endorsed vigorous policies tomove away from fossil fuels. The U.S. seemed on the verge ofcommitting to greenhouse-gas reductions and developingalternative-energy technologies. Since then, most Republicanleaders have become skeptical about global warming and nowoppose any major policy response.
