Aug. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Investors around the world arewaiting to find out whether Federal Reserve Chairman BenBernanke puts any QE3 in his opening remarks today at the KansasCity Fed’s Jackson Hole conference. It was one year ago at thesame event that he outlined the Fed’s policy options for anailing economy, including a second round of quantitative easingthat started in early November.

A second audience will be listening to Bernanke -- not asclosely, perhaps, nor in real time, but with no less a stake inthe outcome: retirees living on fixed incomes who have watchedtheir returns dwindle to almost nothing.
