Custom Choppers, Hand-Built in Brooklyn
Biker and motorcycle builder Larry Indian died in 2004. Tucked away in a 3,000-sq.-ft. garage in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, five craftsmen continue hand-building the custom choppers, revered by aficionados as pieces of art. Actors Brad Pitt and Ewan McGregor, singer Steven Tyler, and WWE Chief Executive Officer Vincent McMahon are among those who have bought them. Each bike takes about three months to build.
