The British housing market is in an odd state. House prices, broadly speaking, are flat or slightly rising in nominal terms, depending on which index you use. Transactions continue to clip along at the same sort of post-financial crisis rate as always — despite the market being generally regarded as slow, there’s no real sign of it actively drying up.
