There are no robots in sight on the Hitachi Energy Ltd. factory floor in Ludvika, a small town three hours east of Stockholm. Instead, the highly resilient equipment, which transports electricity from windfarms or nuclear reactors to customers, is all made by hand, with employees putting in thousands of hours.
