Tehran brought Strait of Hormuz traffic to a standstill and said it won’t attend further negotiations until Washington lifts its own blockade. The US Navy stopped and boarded an Iranian-flagged cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman, “blowing a hole” in its engine room after it ignored warnings to stop, according to Donald Trump. Still, the US president said earlier he’s sending Vice President JD Vance back to Pakistan for more talks, which the Islamic Republic was noncommittal about joining.
