Washington ordered its citizens as well as non-essential government employees to flee more than a dozen countries in the Middle East — including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE — after its embassy in Riyadh was struck by Iranian drones. Iran said it also attacked a US base in Bahrain.
