A senior Russian general was killed in Moscow after a bomb exploded in his car, according to investigators, who suggested Ukraine may be responsible for the assassination. This is the third time in the past 12 months that top Russian officers involved in the invasion of Ukraine have been killed in bomb attacks in the capital.
The assassination unfolded as Russia said a drone attack damaged infrastructure and vessels on the Black Sea coast. The assault struck two ships and two piers in Volna. Grain and oilseed futures edged up after the attacks as commodity traders worried over exports from the region.
