The US’s top trade official is threatening to use “every tool” at his disposal against major European service providers including DHL, Siemens and Spotify if officials in Brussels don’t stop “harassing” American tech giants.

Among the measures under consideration is a possible investigation under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 that would allow the US administration to impose remedies including fees and other types of restrictions, Bloomberg News reports this week.
