Canada wants to prevent quantum leaps — that is, stop its promising quantum startups from leaping south of the border.
Evan Solomon, the minister of AI and digital innovation, announced C$92 million ($67 million) in funding for four Canadian quantum technology firms. Three of the four have been publicly courted by Darpa, a US government research agency that focuses on creating technology for national security.
