Keir Starmer is hosting Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Downing Street today. Starmer, working with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and French President Emmanuel Macron, is trying to tip the balance back Ukraine’s way in peace negotiations that have been heavily framed by conversations between Moscow and Washington.
In an exclusive interview with Bloomberg, Zelenskiy told our reporters that the negotiators remained divided on the future of the Donbas. The initial 28-point plan included a proposal that Ukraine cede some territory to Moscow, as well as a bar on Ukraine joining NATO, and a cap on its military.
