The dust is settling on yesterday’s budget, and so far markets remain relatively sanguine. Indeed, they are far more excited by the prospect of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates when it meets next month, rather than thinking through the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s latest batch of plans for the UK.
