Looking forward to a long, languid Labor Day weekend? Well if you’re on Wall Street or even just an everyday investor, you can probably forget it. Your summer may be pretty much done.

Over at Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank, there’s mounting concern about the state of the US economy. When they return to their desks a week from today, financial professionals will be confronted by sobering labor and inflation data, worries about the looming consequences of President Donald Trump’s trade war and fear over his intensifying attacks on the Federal Reserve.
