After 25 years in the making, a trade deal between the European Union and South American Mercosur bloc is finally in sight. But EU farmers are on tenterhooks over how it will impact their business.
The trade pact, which still needs to be ratified, would be the biggest ever concluded by Brussels. Farming was one of the most contentious aspects of the protracted negotiations and European growers voiced their concerns throughout, taking to the streets to protest against it.
