Just this week, Spotify, YouTube and TikTok released their recaps highlighting the top content from the past year. In honor of that moment, I spoke with Ole Obermann, global head of music business development at TikTok, to get his take on the short-form video service’s trending music along with all the other stories we’ve been talking about over the past 12 months.
