The efforts gained fresh momentum in the wake of Hamas's October attack on Israel after reports surfaced that the terrorist group relies, in part, on cryptocurrency to fund its operations. The US's settlement with Binance the following month also shed light on how criminals were using digital-asset exchanges to move money around.
