How Biden Is Winning Trump’s Trade War
Donald Trump and his trade policies have long had the ability to drive many economists nuts. And his invocation of bilateral trade deficits with China as a measure of American economic health has a way of really getting under their skin.
But here’s something to irritate Trump: When new numbers come out Wednesday they are likely to show the US goods deficit with China in 2023 hit its lowest annual level since at least 2010 and did so while his rival Joe Biden was in the White House.
