Heat Wave Prompts Calls for the French to Stay Home

Temperatures across a good three-quarters of France have climbed and are set to stay well above normal for days.

The repeated heatwaves that rolled across the Northern Hemisphere this summer had spared much of France. While Rome and Madrid wilted under sizzling hot weather, Paris basked under a soft sun.
