Surveillance: Too Soon to Breathe Easy After the Jobs Report

Some relief for traders in the jobs numbers, but wages will still worry the Fed

The Friday jobs report showed a significant downside miss on job creation. But the Fed will probably be more concerned about continued wage growth.

For everyone holding their breath since yesterday's ADP shocker, you can breathe now. But only just a little.

At 209,000, the topline payrolls figure was a major miss from the survey number of 230,000, which had ticked higher over the past 24 hours. The prior month was also revised lower.
