Photographer: James MacDonald/BloombergWelcome to my weekly newsletter on psychedelics and cannabis. At an event billed as the largest gathering of psychedelics advocates in history, in Denver last week, it was time to take a look at where the fast but challenged growth of hallucinogenic and dissociative drugs is headed.
As a man in a red-and-white mushroom cap rapped a musical ditty inciting people to take off their shirts outside Denver’s Colorado Convention Center last week, more than 11,000 people converged at the event inside in search of something more meaningful: how to make a living in the nascent industry of psychedelic drugs.
