Filipinos are mourning the loss of a nearly century-old site after the Manila Central Post Office caught fire on Sunday. The neoclassical building, once considered the grandest structure in the Philippines, is one of several heritage sites lost, damaged or demolished over time, sparking calls for the government to better protect and preserve the country’s historical structures.
