Spotify’s $100 Million Diversity Fund Has Started Slowly
In its first year, a fund set up to promote diversity in music and podcasts has spent less than 10% of the money on that work.

In case you missed it, I published a piece yesterday about Spotify’s Creator Equity Fund, a $100 million budget the company announced in the wake of its Joe Rogan scandal last year. (And, to refresh your memory, that itself happened after Neil Young pulled his music from the platform over Rogan’s alleged spreading of Covid-19 misinformation and then a viral video circulated in which Rogan used the n-word multiple times.)
