WTO Chief Urges Talks to Resolve Green Subsidy Dispute
WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala
The head of the World Trade Organization urged the European Union and South Korea to continue their dialog with the US over industrial subsidies rather than litigate the dispute at her organization in Geneva.
“It’s far better for them to speak to the US and try to resolve this and see if there’s any way to take account of their concerns than to come to the dispute-settlement system of the WTO,” Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala said in a Bloomberg TV interview on Thursday.
