Brexit Costs, Delays Still Weigh on UK Companies Trying to Trade

Supply-chain pain caused by the UK’s split from the European Union still lingers for British manufacturers and retailers trying trade with the rest of Europe and beyond.

According to data from FourKites, over-the-road shipments crossing the Schengen border — which encompasses most of the EU — were delayed 38% of the time in the fourth quarter of last year. Trade within or outside the area, meanwhile, was delayed just 21% of the time.
