There’s a sense lately that the fastest pace of interest-rate hikes in the US in decades isn’t having much of an effect on prices. Inflation is still coming in strong (the Producer Price Index published today was higher than forecast, for instance), and of course the jobs market remains robust (non-farm payrolls for November also soundly beat expectations).
