Welcome to the latest issue of my weekly newsletter on the cannabis and psychedelics industries. With the fall harvest of outdoor marijuana crops underway, there’s much at stake for an industry that some say is already oversupplied. And all eyes are on the next few months in New York. 

New York state says it’s on track to kick off legal sales of marijuana before the end of the year with a bold “former convicts first” approach — even as the deadline draws near with little progress, and questions linger about how the state’s lofty social-equity goals will play out.
