Next China: Millions Are Still Being Locked Down Because of Covid

Nearly three years after Covid-19 reared its ugly head, millions of people are still being locked down in China because of the virus.

Chengdu, a megacity housing more people than New York, extended a weeklong lockdown in most downtown areas. It’s the biggest city to shut since Shanghai’s bruising two-month, mass confinement earlier this year.
