Russia continued its heavy shelling of key Ukrainian cities as the war enters its seventh day. Its forces have been frustrated by the level of resistance on the ground.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said it had captured Kherson, a Ukrainian port city, although President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s government in Kyiv had not confirmed that claim. There were further attacks on the second-biggest city, Kharkiv.
