Hello Hyperdrivers, I’m Ryan Fisher from BloombergNEF’s Electric Vehicle group here to bring you some thoughts on EVs and charging. As more electric vehicles roll off production lines and onto roads and highways, electricity demand for plug-in models is expected to rapidly rise. By 2040, EVs will account for over 11% of total electricity demand in the U.S, according to BloombergNEF, and over 16% of total demand in Europe.
