China’s economy was the first hit by Covid-19 back at the start of 2020 when the industrial city of Wuhan slammed shut to try to contain a mystery new virus. A year and a half on, just as Europe and the U.S. enjoy a summer recovery, there’s concern again as delta spreads across Asia.
