Supply chain disruptions around the world are claiming another victim: deals featured on Amazon Prime Day.

The two-day event ending today, alongside Walmart’s “Deals for Days” and Target’s “Deal Days,” is supposed to entice online shoppers with big mid-summer sales. But Amazon merchants will be stingier this year partly because elevated shipping expenses are eating into margins and their logistics for the rest of the year remain a challenge.
