I've been thinking about Texas a lot lately. Tesla is building a massive new factory in Austin. CEO Elon Musk plans to hire 10,000 workers by next year and has called for more housing to be built in the area. If that more recent tweet is any indication, the city is destined to look a lot like the San Francisco Bay Area, where job growth has outpaced building and led to notorious affordable housing woes, displacement and rapid gentrification.
