As the U.K. looks ahead to the re-opening of its pubs, restaurants and hospitality sector in the coming months, a Brexit supply-chain challenge threatens to spoil the party.

Starting in April, Britain will impose new import controls on food and beverages imported from the European Union — the source of 30% of the nation’s food supply. Products of animal origin will need special certificates and then, in July, will have to enter the U.K. through border control posts.
