America’s Exhausted Truckers See a Speedier Economy Ahead

Viewed from the cab of an 18-wheeler, where low freight rates for doing essential work meant a miserable first half of the year, the U.S. economy can only get better from here.

That’s one the main takeaways from two surveys released this month by Bloomberg Intelligence and Truckstop.com. One quarterly poll is based on responses from 398 truckers, the other a semiannual questionnaire from some 190 freight middlemen across North America.
