Jokowi’s Bid to Woo Firms to Indonesia From China Pays Off

He changed Indonesia’s approach, and that’s now paying off with at least half a dozen investment commitments.
Jokowi, as the president is commonly known, was aware the biggest hurdle in getting companies to relocate to Indonesia was its notorious and time-consuming approval procedure. To overcome this, the country’s investment promotion board set up multiple task forces, including one to receive prospective investors at airports and assist them through the entire process.
