Sunday’s election may be the last chance for the country’s mainstream political parties.
The plenum in Germany’s Reichstag erupted in jeers as Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock from the Green Party fired back after a senior conservative lawmaker accused her of lying in a speech.
Shoulders tense and pumping her arm for emphasis, she confronted her colleague from the Christian Democratic Union over the allegation and the tone of his attack. “We are not in kindergarten here,” she said.
