The Best New Watches Are Bold, Beautiful and a Little Bonkers
Luxury watchmakers are showing a fun side with these technical timepieces.
At this month’s Watches and Wonders trade show in Geneva, Cartier, Patek Philippe, Rolex and dozens of other top brands showed off their latest triumphs. Among the trends and never-before-seen feats of engineering, these 12 timepieces are the most fun new releases of the year so far.
The German brand took its Tangente model and came up with 31 color combinations. With names such as Super Sardine, Lemonbiscuit and Pompadour, they’re cheery, creative and eye-catching while being utterly simple—in line with the ethos of the design-minded and approachable watchmaker. Just 175 of each colorway will be sold. €1,925 ($2,310)
